SHOWCASE SECURITY

Showcases can be opened using any method you require; key, card, fob or fingerprint are just some of the examples. The reader is concealed within the case therefore retaining the aesthetic of the design. Precision locking systems are designed to complement the showcase design; bespoke locks can be manufactured to your specification. Magnetic Locks can be manufactured in any shape or style.

Within our administration here at One-Stop Showcase Locking, each Client receives the individual attention of our Security Consultant. Each system is designed for the benefit of the Client and not our budget; both aesthetics and financial restraints are key criteria when designing locking systems for showcases, as is the practicability of the system.

Locking systems can be fitted to an existing showcase with the minimal disturbance to the cabinet and your operation. Override systems can be fitted in a secure manner to allow access should a controller fail. Battery back up is also available to ensure the operation of the locking system in the event of a power failure

Each cabinet can be accessed via -

Proximity Card
Magnetic Swipe Card
Key Pad
Bio-Metrics Fingerprint

Each cabinet can also be -

  • recorded via CCTV to a digital imager
  • viewed as real-time on playback
  • network linked for security access
  • used for retail analysis

The high risk period is when a showcase is opened; the interface of a CCTV system with the locking system will enable cameras to react to the case being opened automatically therefore ensuring the digital imager records the activity. Locks are specified to the level of security required and the design of the showcase. Lost keys/fobs are a thing of the past with the lost fobs being easily deleted from the system with minimal effort.

The safety of your clients and members of staff is always taken into consideration when using electronic or hydraulic opening systems; automatic cut off systems can be employed to prevent trapped fingers or hands.

In addition to the security, basic retail analyses is provided in report form containing information on -

1. who opened the case,
2. how long the case was opened,
3. how many times it was opened in any given period.

Additional security features are available which notify security when a case has been opened and sound an alarm if the case if left opened after a specific time period.

Whilst architects are concerned with the design concept, we provide a practical outlook on the design with the long term operation and daily use of the system.

With an online system, all cases can be opened with a single operation to allow free access for stocking and dressing.

There are several terms used within this site, further explanation of these terms are defined below:-

Proximity Card/Fob Access
This card or fob is presented to an eye that reads the encrypted code on the card. They are usually white but any colour is available.
Magnetic Swipe Card
These cards are literally swiped through a reader which reads the encrypted code on the magnetic stripe on the reverse of the card.
Bio-Metrics
Bio-metric security entails fingerprints for access to locking systems and this therefore dramatically cuts down on lost cards etc. causing security down-time and on-costs for cards.
Ditigal Image Recording
A tiny camera built into the showcase or unobtrusively concealed in a colour co-ordinated dome ensures good quality facial picture of any unauthorised person entering the showcase.
IT linked showcase access
Access to showcases is controlled by key fobs authorised by your IT Department. Very efficient in keeping a database of all entry/exit to each showcase and by whom.
Data Control on Showcases
Used for marketing purposes, data base provides reliable information concerning particular exhibition pieces; the number of times a showcase is opened. Can be used as a marketing tool for alternating showcase contents that do not particulary sell well.
High Security Shot Bolts
A 12mm stainless steel bolt which locks into the cabinet frame. These locks are particularly used for high value items.
Small Pin Locks
These locks are for the locking of small cabinets and drawers. Usually associated with low value items.
Magnetic Locks
Ideal for irregular shaped cabinets.
